A spherical cap harmonic analysis method is used to model the perturbation fields and internal and external currents of a storm observed between February 6 and 8 in Canada. During the storm peak, equivalent ionospheric currents of 0.9 A/m were noted which extended into southern Canada. The method is shown to be effective in modeling large scale features, of both regular and irregular magnetic activity, and equivalent sources using sparse observations.
