Results of observations of the magnetic field structure and motions in a solar active region of the sun are analyzed. Typical classes of motions are derived and their relationship with magnetic field structures and electric currents is established. The importance of the magnetic field structure in the formation of several types of plasma motions is shown. The similarity of the magnetic field structure and the relationship between plasma motion and the magnetic field in active and unperturbed regions is noted.
