Energy budget in the plasma bubble is discussed in order to explain the electron temperatures observed at a height of 600 km. From calculations it has been shown that the electron temperature profile inside plasma bubble can be basically explained as a function of energy input to the plasma bubble, the ion temperature and the electron density. These calculations are found to be consistent with the present satellite observations. Possible mechanisms by which energy injections in the plasma bubble take place under different conditions are suggested.
