Analytic calculations of the fractal dimensions of the galaxy distribution of the universe have been obtained under the assumption that the N-body galaxy correlation functions are scale invariant with the scaling index gamma. Due to the existence of holes in the galaxy distribution, it is found that the galaxy distribution is characterized by two fractal dimensions, 3 - gamma for the dense regions, and (3 - gamma)omega for the poorly populated regions (with omega of between 0 and 1, inclusive). The galaxy distribution is shown to be an exceptional fractal system in which Renyi dimensions increase as a function of their q index.
