Problems related to diffusion are described. An elementary theory of
molecular diffusion is presented. The analogy between the turbulent and
molecular diffusion makes it possible to estimate the influence of the
former on astrophysical phenomena. As illustration serve the terrestrial
atmosphere and the gas in the Galaxy.
