It is shown that the displacement of points representing beyond-the-limb events on the radio-burst flux/proton flux diagram from the basic pattern is primarily caused by attenuation of the radio emission. An analysis of the degree of attenuation at 0.6, 3, and 10 GHz with distance beyond the visible limb of the sun indicates the spatial noncoincidence of the sources of radio bursts at the aforementioned three frequencies.
