Some ideas based on the author's recent work are mentioned, such as the relation between the single-particle emission and the plasma collective emission. It is pointed that the single-particle emission is only an approximation of the plasma collective emission, and that on the basis of the plasma kinetic theory it is possible to explain the time scale, the frequency characteristics, the directionality, and the polarization self-consistently for different kinds of the plasma emission.
