An exact electrovacuum solution for a rotating dipole in general relativity is obtained which can describe the external field of a rotating charged star of non-Kerr type. It is shown that, since an ergosphere is present in the solution, gravitational waves reflected by the field of this kind of star can be intensified; both horizon bands are considered to be singular.
