Scientific paper

The paper presents a theoretical study of the nonlinear evolution of linearly polarized low-frequency electromagnetic waves propagating along a strong external magnetic field in a relativistic electron-positron plasma. It is shown that, depending on the initial perturbation, the evolution of these waves can be described either by the Schroedinger equation or the KdV equation. It is concluded that the results obtained can explain certain characteristics of pulsar radio emission.
