MACRO is a large area underground experiment for the detection of penetrating cosmic ray particles. For a sample of approximately 32 million muons collected from March 1989 through December 1995, an all-sky survey for cosmic sources of excess muon flux above the expected cosmic ray background has been performed. As a demonstration of MACRO's pointing accuracy, the arrival directions of these muons have been used to find the shadow of the Moon cast by primary cosmic rays. In addition, we have found seasonal variations in the underground muon rate of magnitude a few percent, a result that confirms MACRO's ability to detect weak signals.
