The problem of determining the angular structure of sources from observations of their occultations by the moon is solved by the deconvolution method. This problem was investigated earlier in the work of Scheuer. It is shown that the expression found there for the angular power spectrum of the Fresnel pattern of diffraction of a plane wave on the edge of a half-plane and the corresponding expression for the deconvolution operator spectrum are valid in the region of complex spatial frequencies, but the Fourier inversion of the deconvolution operator spectrum was erroneously performed by simple integration over the real axis of spatial frequencies, which resulted in an incorrect expression for the original of the deconvolution operator in Scheuer's paper. An expression for the deconvolution operator spectrum in the region of real spatial frequencies is obtained in the present report. The process of reconstruction of the angular brightness distribution for point and double sources by the method of integration in the region of real spatial frequencies is investigated in detail.
