The present work reviews the results of investigations into the relationship between solar activity and the rate of C-14 formation in the atmosphere. Radiocarbon concentrations in wood samples of known age are taken as indications of atmospheric C-14 content. Data from samples over the past 300 years are compared with solar activity data over the same period. The nature of the correlations found is analyzed statistically.
