We plan to measure the geometric distortion for each STIS detector, using the same field as previously used for measuring the MAMA geometric distortion in cycle 7. These exposures will also serve to measure the image location for each of the MAMA imaging modes, with respect to the CCD frame, In order to fix the detector coordinates for the STIS MAMA imaging modes with respect to the CCD coordinates, and hence to the FGS system, we need to obtain an image of a reference star field in each of the 4 imaging modes, all at the same HST pointing. Together with calibration data from Cycle 7, this proposal obtains sufficient data to properly {re-}determine the distortion, plate scale, orientation, and image location for the CCD and MAMA imaging modes, and serve as relative sensitivity monitor over the detectors' full field of view at the same time.
