This proposal gathers the data needed to calibrate the optical field angle distortions in FGS1r to the level of accuracy required for astometry science. Selected stars from the galactic cluster M35 are repeatedly observed in POSITION mode by FGS1r with F583W filter at a variety of spacecraft pointings and telescope roll angles. The observations need to occur at a time when this ecliptic star field is near the anti-sun direction so that HST's roll angle is unconstrained. This will be in late December. The test consists of 12 one orbit visits. It is essential that the 12 orbits are NOT executed sequentially with no gaps since this would cause HST to transistion to a colder than normal thermal equilibrium, which we know to cause changes to the OTA focus and possibly a change in the OTA induced distortions if the secondary mirror experiences tip/tilt or off-axis motion. For each visit, the desired telescope pointing is specified by POS TARG and ORIENT special requirements.
