Aberration: Light Propagation, Aberration: Velocity Of Light

Scientific paper

The correction for the annual stellar aberration for the velocity of the Earth's rotation using diurnal aberration has been calculated inappropriately. When this process is improved, one ends up with an aberration constant of 20.18 arcsec. This gives a more accurate "real" speed of light of 304 476 km s-1 ±125 km s-1. This "real" speed can be triangulated with the experimental relative speed of light of 299 792 458 m s-1 to give the "real" speed of the Earth as 53 198 km s-1 ±710 km s-1.
