Supernova Remnants: X Rays, Supernova Remnants: Pulsars

Scientific paper

The authors report on the analyses of physical properties of four supernova remnants (SNRs), 3C 397, G 327.1-1.1, G 21.5-0.9, and RX J1713.7-3946 based on X-ray observation of ASCA and ROSAT. Brief discussions are given on the two thermal component NEI properties and bipolar structure of 3C 397 and the nonthermal properties of the unseen pulsars within G 327.1-1.1 and G 21.5-0.9. The possible relation between RX J1713.7-3946 and the AD 393 guest star is suggested.
