Circular polarization measurements of the faint and highly erratic cataclysmic variable Grus-V1 ae presented, showing that it is indeed an AM Her system. The observations confirm that cyclotron radiation is emitted from two regions, not diametrically opposed. The object is measured at an intermediate brightness level, demonstrating that the relative accretion rates in the two regions have changed since earlier epochs.
