General Relativity: Gravitation

Scientific paper

On the basis of investigations of the kinematics of a system of two bodies which interact according to the inverse-square law it is shown that Mach's principle, formerly rejected by general theory of relativity, can as usual be an alternative conception of absolute space. In this case it is to suppose that the background of remote stars determines not only the inertial but also the gravitational mass of a body.
