Oscillations of insolation on Mars at certain fixed latitudes are related to oscillations of the eccentricity and the perihelion longitude of its solar orbit and to the oscillations of the inclination of its equator to the orbit plane. This paper considers oscillations of the solar climate of Mars and the spectrum of these oscillations as a function of latitude. It is concluded that astronomical oscillations of insolation on Mars are of longer period and much more intense than those on earth. Owing to the thin Martian atmosphere, the effect of these oscillations on the climate of Mars must be greater than the effect of corresponding oscillations on the climate of earth.
