Langmuir waves are often detected in the solar wind upstream of the Saturnian bowshock by the Radio and Plasma Wave System (RPWS) on the Cassini spacecraft. The frequency of the Langmuir waves can be used to estimate the electron density of the local solar wind. Changes in the solar wind density are believed to play a role in the dynamics of the Saturnian magnetosphere and is important in modeling the interaction between the solar wind and the Saturnian system. A systematic survey and analysis of the RPWS solar wind data has been started to determine the electron density whenever Langmuir waves are detected. The status and preliminary results of this analysis will be presented.
