The stationary ion-acoustic double layer is investigated in a plasma with an electron beam. The condition of the existence sensitively depends on the parameters such as the electron beam temperature, the ion temperature, the beam density and the effect of the trapped electrons. The properties of the double layer are also depicted. It turns out that the electron beam velocity is relatively small. This investigation predicts new findings of the ion-acoustic double layers in a plasma with an electron beam.
