The study of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) at the HERA ep collider allows us to probe the partonic structure of the proton and test the dynamics of strong interactions. The accuracy and phase space coverage of inclusive DIS measurements, combined with the hadronic final state investigations, have resulted in determination of the quark and gluon densities inside the proton and of αs(MZ). Parton densities extracted at HERA are important for predicting cross sections and describing the QCD processes at the LHC. Recent results of the HERA exeperiments, H1 and ZEUS, on parton densities and αs measurements are reviewed.
