We propose XMM-Newton observations of radio transients which are found during our VLA/GMRT monitoring observations of the Galactic center region or during our radio-sky monitoring program with the Low Frequency Array (LOFAR) which is currently being finished in the Netherlands. Our proposed observations will for the first time conclusively detected these enigmatic radio transients at X-ray energies (or put very stringent upper limits). The high-energy properties of these systems will be very important to elucidate their nature.
