RRAT J1819-1458 is a neutron star with 5e13 G magnetic field and 4.26 s spin period. Unlike normal radio pulsars, it is only detectable through its sporadic radio bursts. We obtained an XMM observation of this source in AO5 (with an on-source exposure of 32 ks) in which we discovered X-ray periodicity at the period derived from the radio bursts and spectral features that could have either an atomic or cyclotron origin. We propose a 120 ks observation in AO7 to model the spectrum in more detail, possibly resolve the nature of these features, and perform pulse phase-resolved spectroscopy. Joint radio observations will allow us to correlate the radio bursts with enhancements in X-ray flux and/or spectral variability.
