We propose to obtain U and B imaging of a candidate optical Einstein ring, recently discovered near the z=0.75 galaxy cluster GHO1322+3027. The WIYN U and B data will be used in conjunction with extant HST F6060 and F814 imaging data, and proposed WHT JH and K data, to construct a precise photometric redshift estimate for this truly unusual source. The photometric z technique is relevant in this case because the lens galaxy appears to contribute little flux to the source (i.e. it is intrinsically quite faint); the strong lensing observed is facilitated through boosting of the lensing mass by the nearby cluster.
