We propose to conclude our program of WIYN B, V, R and I imaging of fields observed in the course of the NICMOS extragalactic parallel program. Analysis of data from imaging and grism parallels show that we readily reach H~ 23.5-25.5 for imaging and 3-σ continuum and line flux limits of H~ 21.0-22.5 and 2 - 0.2 × 10^-16 erg sec^-1 cm^-2 for grism spectra. We wish to obtain optical colors to interpret our near-IR survey in the context of the populations of galaxies selected and studied at visible wavelengths. In particular we wish to observe the 33 objects for which we have detected H (alpha) emission with 0.9 < z < 1.9. These objects have star formation rates of 2 - 160M_&sun; yr^-1 and a space density similar to the luminous U-dropout galaxies at z ~ 3. This data will allow the study of three relatively unexplored facets of galaxy evolution: (i) star formation history in the 1 < z < 2.5 range (ii) study of old stellar systems at high redshifts, and (iii) the impact of extinction on galaxy colors. Previous results obtained at WIYN show the we can identify galaxies with extremely red colors from the combination of NICMOS and ground based optical imaging.
