Star-to-star differences in Eu and Ba abundances have been found within the metal-poor globular cluster M15. This suggests that M15 has been heterogeneously enriched in neutron-addition elements that are produced by Type II supernovae. M15 is a relatively tightly-bound cluster, so it may have presented a good site for such enrichment. However, clusters of similar metallicity to M15 but much lower mass would be expected to sustain less supernova enrichment. We propose to test this hypothesis by measuring the Eu and Ba abundances of stars in the lower-mass cluster NGC 6397. This cluster is not expected to be as favorable an environment for supernova enrichment; if this is the case then it should be more homogeneous in Eu and Ba - the abundances of these elements should show fewer (or smaller) star-to-star differences than in M15.
