Satellite observations of LMC X-4, an X-ray binary in the Large Magellanic Cloud, have supplied data indicating periods of eclipse. A proportional counter spectrometer (PCS) was used to measure changes in flux intensity. Four flares, each lasting between 10 and 20 minutes, were observed. Graphs are presented showing flare intensity in counts per minute.
