A theoretical analysis is presented of the three-dimensional global
'network' of low-frequency geomagnetic pulsations with periods not less
than 100 sec. Consideration is given to the generation of a portion of
nocturnal irregular Pi2-pulsations by sources located outside flux tubes
where nocturnal auroral emissions occur.
