Data for the years 1963-1966 from a meteor radar and an ionosonde are combined in a correlation analysis where a third component, the time lag, is also introduced. This time lag is defined by the time delay giving the maximum of the positive correlation coefficient. The results indicate that the time lag shows a fairly regular behavior over these three years, varying from 3-9 hours depending on the season
