A new scenario for a successful inflationary-universe model is examined, with special emphasis on generation of the baryon asymmetry. The condensate of a massive Brans-Dicke field produces too much entropy when it decays, leading to dilution of the asymmetry. An efficient mechanism of baryon production at the time of condensate decay is suggested as a way out of this difficulty.
