The intracluster medium in galaxy clusters contains important information about cluster and galaxy formation, evolution, interactions and mass distribution. However, at visible wavelengths this intracluster light (ICL) is extremely faint and hard to study. Using the CTIO 1.5m, we propose to conduct multicolor surface photometry of the ICL in two clusters in which it is especially noticeable, to determine its morphology and color and to develop techniques for observing very low surface brightness features.
