Possible mechanisms of wave dissipation in the solar wind are discussed. It is shown that an effective sink of the spectral flux of turbulence energy is cyclotron damping of high-frequency waves by plasma electrons. The corresponding value of the internal scale of turbulence is of the order of a few kilometers in the neighborhood of the earth's orbit; the dissipation of turbulence energy leads to an increase of the electron transverse temperature. Theoretical results are shown to be in good qualitative agreement with experimental data.
