A series of spatial intensity profiles of a sunspot penumbra has been obtained at wavelengths within the Ca II line. The profiles were derived from photometric measurements of the sunspot located near the center of the solar disk on August 10, 1982. The spatial resolution of the photometer was 1.4 arcsec. The photometric characteristics of the inner and outer regions of the penumbra are analyzed, and the results are discussed in detail. The spatial intensity profiles are reproduced in graphic form.
