The CLEO collaboration reports on the first search for evidence of D0 - bar D0 mixing in the semileptonic decay of D0 → K*ev. Using 9fb-1 of integrated luminosity from the CLEOII.V dataset, a fit for wrong-sign events, D0 -> K{* + } e^ - bar ν , gives an upper limit on Rmix = {N(D0 -> bar D0 -> K{* + } e^ - bar ν )}/ {{N(D0 -> K{* - } e^ + ν )}} at a 95% C.L. of < 0.86%.
