Explosive nucleosynthesis occurs on such a short time scale that all nuclei produced in the explosion can again interact with the protons, neutrons or ^4He nuclei which are present in the stellar environment. The extreme conditions observed in supernovae lead to reaction paths that are located far away from the valley of stability. In this contribution I will discuss experiments which address open questions in nuclear structure and reactions relevant to the nucleosynthesis in supernovae.
