The determination of the astrophysical S_17(0) factor with a good accuracy is considered as very important for the solar-neutrino problem. An indirect method used to find the S_17-factor is the measurement of the Asymptotic Normalization Coefficient (ANC) through the proton transfer reaction (^7Be,^8B). The transfer reaction ^7Be+^14N was repeated at the Cyclotron Institute at Texas A University using the ^7Be beam produced in Momentum Achromat Recoil Spectrometer (MARS). A new detector assembly was designed and used in order to extend the detection of the elastic scattering and transfer reaction products over a larger angular range. We also improved the monitoring of the secondary beam intensity. The extension of the angular range for the elastic scattering provides a better check of the optical model potentials used for the calculation of the transfer reaction cross section, reducing uncertainties. New results will be presented.
