For the last four years we have been following southern supernovae brighter than V=15 in BVRIJHK with the YALO 1m telescope. To date we have observed 17 supernovae. We have published the analysis of (or have preprints for) 7 supernovae. At present we have enough data to make a preliminary Hubble diagram based on infrared light curves of Type Ia supernovae. For this semester we are asking to continue the program on the 1.3-m telescope in UBVRIYJHK. We are also asking for one night per week on the 1.5m telescope to obtain spectrophotometry of nearby supernovae. The spectrophotometry is essential for calculating K- corrections and ``S-corrections'' - the correction needed to bring observed photometry onto a standard photometric system such as defined by Bessell (1990). We need accurate spectrophotometry of nearby Type Ia SNe in order to interpret high-z light curves in the measurement of the equation of state of the universe. To the best of our knowledge, the proposed spectral survey is the only such survey which can reach southern supernovae. We will use the spectra of the Type II SNe to measure EPM and ``LN'' distances.
