The phenomenon examined consists of an increase in intensity of
low-energy electrons and protons, associated with the passage of an
interplanetary shock wave capable of generating magnetic disturbances.
Intensity bursts measured onboard Prognoz and Prognoz 2 in April and
October, 1972, respectively, are discussed.
