New and revised gamma-ray production cross sections are employed to calculate the expected 15.10- to 4.438-MeV line ratio for proton interactions with carbon and oxygen as a function of parameters characterizing the incident proton spectrum in a solar flare. The additional cross sections for which inadequate determinations cause significant uncertainties in the results of this calculation are identified.
