The Prognoz-4 differential spectrometer measured interplanetary electrons with energies of 0.3-3.0 MeV during the period December 1975 to March 1976. Particular attention is given to increases of Jupiter electrons; the predominance of the low-energy spectrum may indicate an electron scattering mechanism. In contrast to solar electrons, which propagate along the central magnetic field, the Jupiter electrons propagate transverse to the central field.
