We present millimeter observations of five HDO rotational lines towards the low-mass protostar IRAS 16293-2422, with upper energies ranging from 22 to 167K. This allows to derive the HDO abundance in the inner warm envelope (hot corino) of the protostar and in the outer cold envelope. The deuteration ratio is ar least one order of magnitude smaller than the deuteration of formaldehyde or methanol. The result brings new constraints to chemical models.
