An improvement to Kessler's formulae on the collision frequency of orbiting objects is given. The improved formulae are available to the objects of lower orbital inclination. Furthermore, the collision frequencies between 41 Aten-Apollo-Amor objects and the Earth were calculated. The results show that the average collision frequency is 4.7×10-11/year; the average collision lifetime is 2.1×1010year.
