A deep exposure of the M32 core will be able to detect the presence of any hot {Teff > 8000 K} horizontal branch {HB} stars that may be present. The confirmation of hot HB stars will constrain the HB morphology and provide insight into the age and metallicity of the stellar population. Hot horizontal branch stars should be distinguishable as a sharp peak in the NUV luminosity function.
