It is shown that in the context of classical Kaluza-Klein theory there
are no neutral black hole solutions with non-trivial scalar coupling
between the four-dimensional spacetime and the n-dimensional (curved or
flat) internal space. Only electrically or magnetically charged black
holes can exhibit such a coupling.
