The stability of infinitely thin stellar disks with uniform rotation and quadratic gravitational potential with respect to bar-like perturbations is analyzed. The disks are situated in the external gravitational field of a spherical halo with nonuniform density distribution. It is found that a uniform halo can stabilize the bar-like perturbations more effectively than a centrally condensed halo.
