We discuss the measurement and associated uncertainties of AGN
reverberation-based black-hole masses, since these provide the
zero-point calibration for scaling relationships that allow black-hole
mass estimates for quasars. We find that reverberation-based mass
estimates appear to be accurate to within a factor of about 3.
