Analysis of white-light coronagraph observations of a polar coronal hole during 1973 June 29 - July 13 led Munro and Jackson (1977) to infer that the density inside the hole varied as a function of heliocentric radial distance, r, and colatitude theta. However recent analysis of the white-light data during 1973 December 3 - 1974 January 24, by Guhathakurta et al. (1993) indicates that the density inside a polar coronal hole, within limits of uncertainties inherent in the coronal white-light observations, can equally well be described as a function of r only. In this study we reexamine the data from the Munro and Jackson period and draw the conclusion that within the limits of observational uncertainties, electron density in the polar coronal hole is independent of magnetic latitude and longitude.
