Simulation results are presented of plasmasphere evolution using the NRL simulation code SAMI3. We have modified SAMI3 to incorporate both a Volland-Stern-like potential and a corotation potential. This allows us to easily vary the polar cap potential for different geophysical conditions without utilizing a magnetospheric model such as LFM. We have performed a number of preliminary simulation studies to assure that the code is stable and forms a plasmasphere with reasonable densities. We will report results showing the evolution and distribution of the different ion species H+, O+, and He+ under different geophysical conditions. Research supported by ONR and NASA.
