It is suggested that, under the conditions of shock wave propagation in the formation stage of the solar system, not more than about 40 percent of the average abundance of deuterium could be generated. Preliminary contamination of the protosolar nebula through deuterium produced in similar processes in about ten earlier supernova explosions should be assumed.
